Sustainable Gardens - 2025
The children from Nikau have started off the Year by tidying up the school gardens, orchard, planters, greenhouse and even the shed.
They have been maintaining the three wormeries and we have been adding to our compost heap.
We have planted beetroot, kale, spinach, silverbeet, broccoli, carrots and lots of other healthy vegetables in the greenhouse.
We have a group of dedicated students who daily check our gardens, they weed, water, pick up litter and feed our worms food scraps.
We have also started creating our new butterfly garden.
